Alwun House presents Femocracy: a subversive, multifaceted monthly comedy show, featuring a diverse array of brainy, comedic insurrectionalists. Among the Femocracy brain trust are producers of award-winning Valley underground comedy shows, such as “Modest Proposal”, “Muff Mondays”, and “The Remember Abraham Lincoln Comedy Show”.
Acts include live and video sketches, stand up, improv, music, parody, dance, burlesque, live game shows and even hand-made giveaways from local arts community stalwarts. Under the stars, performers and aficionados share laughs, mixing and mingling in the steady sway of the soothing, melodic soundtrack. Don’t worry, we’ve got fire and heat to keep you cozy and warm throughout the evening!
FUTURE PARTY: 2010! promises to be yet another magical comedy escapade, ringing in the New Year with more laughs than all of your past, present, and future awkward family holiday conversations combined!
After a scintillating 2009 debut season, Femocracy is super-extra driven, poised to continue bringing the most diverse, talented, FUNNY local and national comedians to our 2009 Best Art Venue award winner, The Alwun House!
Fresh with cheery holiday residue, this month’s lineup includes:
Host Cynthia Rena (Poet, Revolutionary, Bisexual vixen - read easy - and Fierce Bitcharound town) 
Leslie Barton (performance artist, con man, arsonist, musician, snake oil salesman, free-lance journalist and occasional fraudulent doctor) 
The Empty Frames Experiment improvisational troupe

Rick Larsen (wonderfully-awkward stand up comedian)

· Jacki Orr’s game show, Choose My Dating Adventure! We didn’t get to premiere this show in October due to some technical difficulties but we’re back with it this month!
